За счёт того, что электромотор помещён в алюминиевый корпус, он обладает повышенной устойчивостью к перегреву. Проверенный на практике срок службы большинства прямоприводных мотор-колёс «QS-MOTOR», без какого-либо ремонта, составляет более 10 лет. Производители шутят, что теоретически этот мотор может быть вечным, нужно только своевременно менять подшипники, что сделать легко и недорого.
Конструкция этого мотор-колеса рассчитана для установки в двухсторонние вилки скутерского типа. На нём имеется крепление под дисковый тормоз, который приобретается отдельно и обеспечивает лучшее торможение по сравнению с барабанными тормозами.
